Fiona Sefton of Your PA Solution

Fiona Sefton AICB MIPA BSc (Hons)

I am a secretary/administrator/bookkeeper with over 20 years experience at all levels of administration and secretarial work, most recently working as a PA for two Commercial Finance Brokers. I have worked for both large and small companies including financial institutions, solicitors and sole traders. After working for 14 years as a secretary/administrator, I returned to education and gained an HND and BSc in Sports & Exercise Science during three years of study. During this time I honed my orgainisational and time management skills as I studied, worked part time and, my most important job of all, continued as a full time mum (and wife). After graduating in 2007, I decided that administration is what I am good at and enjoy so returned to the workplace as a PA rather than trying to become a Sports Therapist or Sports Scientist. Bring on the paperwork… I love it! I have excellent typing and word processing skills and a very high knowledge of most Microsoft Office packages including Word 2007, Excel 2007, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access allowing me to present work in a professional manner. I can also use Quickbooks and Sage for bookkeeping or just keep records on a simple Excel spreadsheet. Away from work, I enjoy exercise (it means I can eat all those yummy treats!) and am a Disney fanatic. I swim and run on a regular basis and has completed the Swimathon (5,000m) four times (2004, 2007, 2009 and 2011) in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All (10km) in York three times (2009, 2010 and 2011) in aid of SNAPPY (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York).
