Bookkeeping

I am experienced in the use of Sage and Quickbooks software packages as well as online bookkeeping such as Liquid Accounts (www.liquidaccounts.net), Clearbooks (www.clearbooks.co.uk) and Xero (www.xero.co.uk).  There are advantages and disadvantages to each of the packages and, if you do not have a computerised system for bookkeeping, we can discuss these.  If you are already using a computerised system for bookkeeping, I can continue to use the system you are already using, use my own software or you can transfer to an online package.

If you would prefer not to use a computer based package, I can keep a record of your books manually either on paper or using an Excel spreadsheet.  For the purposes of completing your tax return, it is not necessary to keep full computerised or double entry accounts but you do need to keep a complete record of your income and expenditure.  An Excel spreadsheet or paper records would be sufficient for this.  However, if you are a limited company or use an Accountant a computerised system may be better.
